meet ron

          Ron Baron was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has been cutting hair since the age of thirteen.  He’s always had a keen sense of humor and it always seemed to foster red conduct marks being placed onto his report card. 

          Graduating university with a Bachelor of Science degree, Ron holds a double major concentration in Biology and Psychology, with a minor in child development and interpersonal skills and communication.  Not long after graduation, he found his way into the cosmetology arena and has been calling it home for the past 26 years. Although haircutting came naturally from age 13, Ron hadn’t a clue that he’d end up in that  field at the age of 25.

          Much to his initial chagrin, Ron was dubbed “the Hairgod” by many clients. The term kept coming up time and again from clients that did not have any connection to each other.  Initially uncomfortable with the title, Ron came to embrace and honor it. He realized that clients noticed that his interest was to connect to their hearts as well as their physical beauty. And he did just that.

          Ron enjoys the performing arts, and participating in theatre (his favorite role was playing the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of OZ). He’s recorded a wide variety of songs for personal enjoyment.  A patron of the arts and the desire to connect with people, has enriched his career as a spa/salon owner, as a director of education for a european hair color company, as well as his being a committed hair designer.

          The biggest turning point in Ron’s life happened when he was  diagnosed with  a rare form of head and neck cancer and given only 3-6 months to live.  To the amazement of his doctors and himself, Ron sailed through treatment exceedingly well and was given a second opportunity to live life. He has been cancer free since 2005. As an altered man, Ron chose to live by a new credo. He has summed it up by saying,  ”My life is now given to making heart-felt contributions to others and maintaing a honest sense of integrity to my commitments. People simply want to be loved and understood.” 

          Having had cancer, allowed Ron to lose much of his pretenses and the awareness of his near death experience, helped to bring his focus and attention on the moment to moment, moments. “A real blessing”, he says. As a result, he decided to put his nose to the grind stone and create a product which many devoted clients have been begging for him to create.  After research, development and perseverance to find a formula, Ron created Factor IV – High Potency Powder Nutrition, for Hair, Skin, Nails and More!
